Members & roles
Your organization is only as useful as the people in it. Here’s how to build your team and decide who can do what.
Inviting a teammate
Section titled “Inviting a teammate”- Open your organization’s members settings.
- Choose Invite, enter the person’s email, and pick a role (Admin or Member).
- Send it. They receive an email invitation and join as soon as they accept.
A pending invitation already counts as part of your team — it holds a seat until the person accepts or you cancel it, so you always know your true headcount.
The roles
Section titled “The roles”Every member has one organization-wide role. There are seven, built for the different people on a music team. Roles decide who can run the organization — not who can touch a given file (that’s access levels).
- OwnerAdministrativeFull control of the organization, including billing and the org itself.
- AdminAdministrativeRuns the organization day to day — people, settings, and billing.
- ManagerCoordinates work and the team, without organization-level control.
- ArtistA creator on the roster, working in the platforms.
- Legacy artistAn artist under prior/back-catalog terms.
- External contributorAn outside collaborator brought in for specific work.
- MemberA general teammate doing the everyday work.
| Org-wide authority | Owner / Admin | Working roles* |

| Upload, share & version files | ✓ | ✓ |
| Invite & remove teammates | ✓ | – |
| Change member roles | ✓ | – |
| Edit organization branding & details | ✓ | – |
| Manage the plan, seats & billing | ✓ | – |
| Delete the organization | ✓ | – |
* Working roles: Manager, Artist, Legacy artist, External contributor, Member. They share the same organization-wide authority; what differs is who they represent on your team — and the per-file access they're granted.
Administrative roles
Section titled “Administrative roles”Owner and Admin are the administrative roles — the only ones with organization-wide authority. They can invite and remove people, change roles, edit branding and details, and manage the plan and billing. Owner sits at the top with full control of the organization itself. Keep this circle small.
Working roles
Section titled “Working roles”Manager, Artist, Legacy artist, External contributor, and Member are working roles. They do the day-to-day work — using the platforms, uploading and sharing files, joining calls — but can’t change the organization itself. They’re distinguished by who they represent on your team rather than by different org-wide powers:
- Manager — coordinates work and people.
- Artist — a creator on your roster.
- Legacy artist — an artist under prior or back-catalog terms.
- External contributor — an outside collaborator brought in for specific work.
- Member — a general teammate.
Changing roles & removing people
Section titled “Changing roles & removing people”Admins can change any member’s role or remove them entirely from members settings. Removing a member frees up their seat for someone else.
How members connect to seats
Section titled “How members connect to seats”Every member and every pending invitation uses one seat. Your plan sets how many seats you have. When they’re all used:
- Free one up by removing a member or canceling an invitation, or
- Upgrade to a plan with more seats.
