Notifications
Good collaboration runs on timely heads-ups. LMG Core notifies you when something relevant happens, so you don’t have to keep checking.
What triggers a notification
Section titled “What triggers a notification”You’ll be notified about the moments that matter to your work, such as:
- A file is shared with you — someone grants you access, and you find out right away (the file also appears in your Shared with me list).
- A new version lands — a file you care about gets a new take, so you know there’s something new to hear.
Each notification tells you who did it and what happened — for example, “Maya gave you Editor access to Spring Single — master.”
Why you only hear about what’s relevant
Section titled “Why you only hear about what’s relevant”LMG Core is careful not to drown you in noise. Notifications follow access: you’re told about files you’re involved with, not everything happening across the whole organization. The result is a feed that’s worth reading.
Staying responsive
Section titled “Staying responsive”A few habits keep notifications working for you:
- Act on shares promptly — when a file’s handed to you, a quick look keeps collaboration moving.
- Watch for new versions on files you’re reviewing, so feedback stays current.
- Pair notifications with activity history — the alert tells you something changed; the history tells you the full story.
